[edit] Map
[edit] Mickey Mousecapade - Crazy Fun house Maze
Due to the 3-page fold out Holiday Guide included in this issue, there was no standard map featured in this issue of Nintendo Power, however the closest to it would be the two page Mickey Mouscapade map of the Funhouse Maze at the beginning of the game, with details on enemies and dangers which await you throughout the maze. The map was part of a four page feature on the game.

[edit] Fun Facts & First Times
[edit] Counselor's Corner: Rob Leingang
|
|
Nintendo Power 003 was the first issue to feature its actual Game Counselors which gave the expert advice not only over the phone to gamers in need via the Nintendo Tip Hotline, but provided all the 'Tips From The Pros' within the Counselors Corner in each issue. More importantly, it was the first appearance of one Mr. Rob Leingang, according to Issue 3, is Agent #15.
Rob Leingang gained a sorts of cult following after appearing in a 1988 Inside Edition Report entitled A New Fad Sweeping The Nation where a young Bill O'Reilly lead into a story about Nintendo and its ability to captivate the minds of youth everywhere, and take you on an adventure "into this world of Danger, Intrigue, and Magic!".
Rob Leingang tells us the secrets to Level 3 dash 1 of Super Mario Bros where we meet the "badest of the bad" of foes, The Hammer Brothers. He also goes on to tell us the secret to scoring the elusive 99 men and "a whole lot of points."
'FUN FACT:' The Inside Edition Report labels and refers to Rob Leingang as Ron Leingang, however Nintendo Power's Staff List and feature in Counselors Corner provides the correct spelling / version of his name.
'FUN FACT:' In the Table of Contents of Nintendo Power 003 under the listing of games in the Video Shorts feature, Paperboy is misspelled and referred to as Peperboy. This typo is present in all printed issues of the magazine.
